Enjoy Aerial Acrobatics at the Free Hemet-Ryan Air Show

The show is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Hemet-Ryan Airport. Admission and parking are free.

Two Southern California air shows have been canceled in the past month because of federal budget cutbacks, but the biennial Hemet-Ryan Air Show is set to open as scheduled on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The air show is hosted by Riverside County’s Economic Development Agency and the City of Hemet and is free to the community.

Aerial performers scheduled to appear include Melissa Aerobatics, the Golden Stars Skydiving TeamTim Weber and Jon Melby.

On the ground, visitors can check out an array of military, vintage and civilian aircraft, sample a variety of food, and shop at vendors. Families with children will enjoy the kids’ zone with giant bouncers.

The show is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hemet-Ryan Airport. Parking and admission are free.

The Hemet-Ryan Airport has been in operation since 1940, when it was built to train Army Air Corps pilots.  Currently it houses Cal Fire's Hemet-Ryan Air Attack. It is one of 19 tanker bases strategically located throughout California.
