The festival is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday Nov. 5 at the schoolhouse, 31985 San Timoteo Canyon Road.

The dates to the 1880s and predates the formation of Riverside County, according to historians.

The building was used as one of the polling places for the election to form Riverside County on May 2, 1893, Riverside County historian Steve Lech said earlier this year.

The San Timoteo Canyon Schoolhouse Committee, which helped research the building's history and coordinate a recent restoration, believes the first school on the site was an adobe built in 1856.
