LeAnn Rimes, Uncle Kracker Among Performers at Beaumont's 2013 Summer Concerts

The city of Beaumont has officially announced the lineup for the 2013 Summer Concert Series.

LeAnn Rimes, Uncle Kracker and Wilson Phillips are among those scheduled to appear at the seventh annual Beaumont Summer Concert series, the city has announced.

Country star Rimes is returning to the event, after having performed in 2010.  The Basix are also returning after making an impression on local audiences last year.

The free series kicks of July 4 at Stewart Park, with two performances:  The Basix and Little River Band.

According to a city announcement, the following will perform throughout July:

  • July 4 – The Basix and Little River Band
  • July 10 – Wilson Phillips
  • July 17 – Uncle Kracker 
  • July 24 – Leann Rimes
  • July 31 – Berlin, Patty Smyth & Scandal

The July 4 performances begin at 5 p.m., but all others start at 7:30 p.m.

The concerts are held in conjunction with Market Night, in which food and craft vendors will be on site, but you can also bring your own food and drinks to the events.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the shows.

Throughout the years, the city has lined up some big names in music, including Air Supply, America, War, Michael McDonald, Three Dog Night, the Commodores, Rick Springfield, Pat Benatar and many others.

The concerts are paid out of the city's general fund.  $250,000 was allocated for the shows this year.

Stewart Park is located at 9th Street, between Orange and Maple avenues in Beaumont.
