Beaumont Unified School District Employee Loses Everything in Silver Fire

Hers is just one of many stories that are bound to come out of the devastating fire which burned more than 5,000 acres in just four hours beginning Wednesday.

Banning-Beaumont Patch has learned that one of at least 15 structures destroyed in Wednesday's Silver Fire was a home that belonged to a Beaumont Unified School District employee and her family.

According to BUSD Superintendent Dr. Maureen Latham, district officials learned Wednesday evening that the house of an employee who works in the Child Nutritional Services Department burned down and "she lost everything."

Latham says more information will be available in the morning as to how people can help the woman and her children.

We here at Patch know that there will be many more stories of tragic loss to emerge in the coming days and will try to get the word out about how to help people as we receive it.
