Woman Found Deceased in Cabazon, Homicide Detectives Seek Suspect

A woman was found dead with unspecified traumatic injuries Monday evening in a residence in Cabazon, no arrests had been made, and homicide detectives were seeking more info, a sheriff's sergeant said Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Jennifer Horton, 34, of Cabazon, Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero of the sheriff's Central Homicide Unit said in a statement.

Deputies responded at 5:49 p.m. Jan. 27 to a report of a body at a residence in the 14200 block of Broadway, Buompensiero said.

"Upon arrival deputies located a deceased white female adult inside the residence," Buompensiero said. "It appeared the female victim had suffered traumatic injuries that caused her death."

Detectives from the Cabazon Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded, Buompensiero said.

"No arrests have been made in this case," Buompensiero said. "This case is ongoing."
