A search is underway for two suspects in a stabbing at a San Jacinto motel.

William Donald Leonard, 49, and Vanessa Christine Rodoracio, 28, are wanted for questioning in connection with the assault Saturday night in the 600 block of North Ramona Boulevard.

Leonard is listed as a suspect, while Riverside County sheriff's investigators described Rodoracio as a "person of interest."

Sheriff's Sgt. Wally Clear said the victim, whose name was not disclosed, suffered a life-threatening stab wound during an apparent altercation with Leonard around 7 p.m.

The man remains in critical condition at an area hospital, Clear said.

Investigators have been unable to locate Leonard or Rodoracio.

Leonard is white, about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. According to sheriff's officials, he was last seen driving a silver 1999 Mercedes-Benz with a California license plate of 6-ZQB-633.

Rodoracio has dark brown eyes and black hair.
