Dale Barbara, if you took the time to get to know this man, you would find he is one of kindestRead More and most dedicated men i have ever met. In boxing and football there is not a lot of smiling. He is simply trying to get the best effort from each kid and commending the kids who are doing well. I have known Albert for many years and if i could describe in a few words, they would be he is firm but he is fair. If its smiling your looking for, maybe you should enroll your son in a ballet class. i understand they smile a lot there.

When the talk turns to "giving something back," here are 25 of the best examples. TheseRead More Citizen Volunteers are giving of their most precious commodity -- their time, talent, expertise -- to their community. Congratulations to all of them and congratulations to the City of Beaumont for encouraging and supporting these volunteer programs. The Citizen Patrol is just one example of the excellent volunteer programs in the City of Beaumont. The volunteers obviously believe in their city and the city obviously believes in its citizens. Congratulations to all who donate their time, experience, expertise and talent to help their community, through the city in this case, but also through youth sports, senior volunteer programs, library volunteer programs, their local churches and religious organizations, schools (public and private) and service clubs like Kiwanis, Rotary, Woman's Clubs, Friends of the Library, Soroptimists, Elks, Lions, VFW, American Legion and auxiliaries of all these organizations and other organizations I neglected to pick from the top of my head. American Exceptionalism? You bet, and one of the proofs is our volunteers.

There were more than 'dozens' attending the memorial. The chairs were filled and many peopleRead More standing. Those in charge are to be complimented for presenting such a dignified memorial service. The color guard and singer were also the best. It would have been nice to have seen an article in the Record Gazette & Press-Enterprise with the names of the veterans being engraved on the wall. Thanks to the VFW and City of Beaumont.
