My daughter said to him once (she was about seven is twenty six now) We have never seen what aRead More circus looks like. We were in a Denny's and he was at a different table and said "did you see that circus" Well we talked for a bit he found out a bit about my kids and the next month or so the circus came to town he tracked us down via my daughter school and gave us tickets "to see the circus"

What is it with most of the blue ones? Pretty dogs, but I have yet to meet a really level headedRead More one. I always wanted a blue....now I own 2 of them. Both are a bit sketchy, with one being fairly aggressive when 'playing'...? Neither were raised from a puppy in my home, so I can't be sure about their early months. I've owned pitbulls for 37 years without any problems at all. None! But now.....
John April 6, 2013 at 02:35 pm
Pit bulls with good owners that have raised them right, and that have never shown aggression, canRead More without OBVIOUS provocation attack owners, family members, friends, neighbors, etc. And when they do, they do worst harm than most dogs, even kill. I've lived with German shepherds, dobermans, hunting dogs, herding dogs and many others. When they do bite, they stop, and they don't usually go for the face and throat. Pit bulls are dangerous and cannot be justified for anything but fulfilling some inadequacy of the owner. I don't know about you, but none of my GUNS have ever broke through a screen door and attacked 2 ladies like what happened in Tulsa, OK on 3/18/13. Don't try to make this a gun issue!!!
debbie bell March 24, 2013 at 12:15 am
I get my info from the owners of pits who are learning the hard way, after their sweet-as-pie pitRead More suddenly kills the landlord's dog next door, so now the landlord wants the pit GONE now. They call our dog rescue, looking to give up their dos. Or when their raised from puppy pit matures at 9 months and without warning, clamps his jaws into their elderly, larger opposite-sex dog and won't let go. "She was yelping, screaming, trying to get away. He wouldn't let go. We had to beat him with a chair to get her loose." Moments ago, the pit was snuggling on the couch with the other dog; now he's in the cold dark cellar and will probably be a fighting full time pit or dead in a week or so, all because he was being a "good" pit bull. I don't get calls regarding other dog attacks because they just do not do the damage that pits do.

Good story, taking a regional story and finding a local connection and posting it in theRead More Banning/Beaumont Patch. I remember the story of this this killer, Diaz. I think he also was involved at a hospital in Chino, where I was at that time. Terrible story about a guy who decided to become his own personal "Death Panel," deciding when people under medical care had lived "long enough". Good job by the Banning/Beaumont Patch for this story.

Awww...She's buried at Hollywood Forever, with the stars, but none of them can hold a candle to herRead More beauty...I'll try to make a donation...
Holly Schmehl December 7, 2012 at 11:20 pm
Amber was buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and they are quite expensive. My understanding isRead More that we can either order a headstone through them or order one through another company and the cemetery will charge a $2,000 "installation" fee. We are doing our best to raise enough funds to provide Amber with the headstone she deserves. <3

brazent?

If you kill yourself rather then face charges what is one to think?
ACH November 18, 2012 at 09:25 pm
Charles - You altogether missed the point of the conversation. It is the simple minded "anyoneRead More accused of a crime must be guilty because the police said so and these criminals are better off dead". It is un American and it endangers everyone because the police will become evern more corrupt and brazent.

I know Ray Mr. A as a colleague and friend. We were together as educators and had a great timeRead More (2008). He was always upbeat. We both soon met again in City of Hope with our fight against leukemia in Sept. 2012. What a gift to be able to reconnect with Ray. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

Been There October 30, 2012 at 09:48 pm
Peace officers are not only there to protect you and your property, they are there to protectRead More themselves and go home to their families at the end of their shift. They don't know you or what you are reaching for when you are doing something they told you not to do, especially in the middle of the night and you are in a vehicle near a crime that just occurred. Regardless, the man made a fatal decision by reaching where he wasn't supposed to and pulling his hand out with something in it, no matter what it was. Officers only get a split second to decide what to do. If he is pointing a gun at you, DO NOT MOVE because he does not have time to grab a taser or anything else! The Supreme Court has ruled they do not have to see a weapon in your hand before shooting you if you reach into your pants, under your seat or whatever, and you have been told not to, so there is a high probability you WILL GET SHOT. Before passing judgement on the deputy, be patient and wait for all the facts to come out. These things take time to investigate properly.

Learn to be literite before posting anything. It makes you look just as stupid as the dumb ass thatRead More was Shot. Come around my house or car at 1:30 am See if I use a Taser on your stupid ass. Cops do every law abiding citizen justice by removing such trash from society. If you do not understand english get back to where you came from, or learn it. Show your hands in english does not mead reach for the center console. Wake up yo u dumb hicks. this is 2012 not 1920

Concerned citizen, You are being disrespectful and rude. What the heck does a life insurance policyRead More have to do with anything. You are intruding into the privacy of a family that is grieving and you know it, otherwise you would post your name. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Why Yucaipa? Why not Orange County somewhere....they would have better chance for people caring whatRead More they say. (...I hope)
ACH June 24, 2012 at 07:37 pm
Slow down here good town folk! They have the right to say what they please. Let's not try to sendRead More them to Saudi Arabia or Iran just yet (as one of you righteous suggested). Travis called it for what it is: A holy war. Since this is supposed to be a melting pot and everyone is supposed to be equal the United States is not supposed to be at war against muslims, right? Wrong! People like Travis, the majority of you little town folk and city leaders like Castaldo are at least honest about your racist views. The United States has lost it's way and bad things will happen to our beloved country. At fault are the small minded, uneducated, racist, right wing masses who support war based on lies and call for the blood of over 1 billion Muslims who inhabit this earth.

You give false hope to proud sinners, while calling the vocally-obedient irredeemable. I find thisRead More far worse.

I would sy there were thosands of viewers when you look at the entire procession route. It was aRead More very humbling experience that I could not fight back the tears. I returned home and found out that I was acquainted with this young man that had lost his life in support of freedom. We live in Solera Senior Community where Nathan worked as a clubhouse monitor. He was a wonderful young man and will be missed by all. (JK of Solera)

My sympathy goes out to his loved ones, including family, extended family, and friends. There areRead More those of us who know he gave the ultimate sacrifice, which will never be forgotten. He is now a guardian angel watching over those he loved.

This is a part of checks and ballances to help weed out the unintelligent humans. We cannot haveRead More humanity overloaded with morons and idiots. This kind of accident only happens to below average intelligence.
Mariana Zuelsdorf June 7, 2012 at 07:55 pm
This was such an unnecessary tragedy. Every year, law enforcement reports hikers, during summer andRead More winter, who must be rescued in our local areas. Sadly, for some, the rescue comes too late. Listen to the weather reports, wear proper clothing for the weather, take ample food and water, take a map and a compass, take a fully charged cell phone (and hope that it gets service!), let people know where you are going, make sure your gas tank is filled, don't leave your car and wander off if you are stranded, and understand that our mountains and deserts can get very hot as well as very cold.
