The Palm Springs Aerial Tram's annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled Sunday and Bionic Woman actress Lindsay Wagner will be the "Celebrity Tree Lighter," a tramway spokeswoman said Friday.
The festivities begin at the Mountain Station at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 with the Palm Springs High School Choir.
"When the tree is lit it can be seen throughout the Coachella Valley," Lena Smith of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway said. "Both the Valley Station and Mountain Station will be festively decorated by Ultimate Events Inc."
Holiday weekends are usually busy and waits to go up and come down can be expected, Smith said.
Normal tram fares are in effect this weekend, including Sunday: $23.95 for adults, $21. 95 for seniors 62 and older, and $16.95 for children ages 3 to 12. For more info visit www.pstramway.com.
