I normally don't do this but after today's session with this Walgreens, I feel compelled to say something. I am 73 years old and my 67 year old wife is very ill. I just got her home from the hospital (San Gorgonio) Wednesday, 4/9/14 at 5 PM. She has COPD (non-smoker though). Because she continue to have a bad cough at home, I took her to her allergy/asthma doctor in Redlands. (We just moved here from Redlands). He prescribed an antibiotic Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 PM and indicated he would call in the prescription to the Highland Springs Ave Walgreens at my request. When we arrived home, I called the pharmacy and they said they never received anything from that doctor. By that time, the doctors office was closed so nothing could be done Wednesday. First thing Thursday morning, I called the dr. again and told them what happened. They swore they called it in right after we had left. They said they would call it in again though. I waited until noon, when they said the prescription should once again be at Walgreens. No it wasn't according to the pharmacy. I called the doctor back and once again, they assured me they had called using something called "e-scribe". I asked if they could call it in on the phone. They agreed to do that. I called the pharmacy again shortly after that and this time they told me they had the prescription and it would be ready at 1:30 PM Thursday. I drove to the drive-thru window at 2:30 PM (thinking I would give them some slack). They gave me a bag and I didn't even look at it. I got home and it was the wrong medicine!! I called them again and this time they told me they hadn't gotten a prescription from her doctor at all!!!! I was beginning to steam. I called the doctor once more and once more they agreed to call the pharmacy. This time I tried to verify it was ready but couldn't get through the phone maze. I just went to the pharmacy at 5:30 PM in person and went inside. I asked for her prescription. I was told they had it but it would be ready "in about 2 minutes". I sat down with all the other people waiting. At 6:30 PM I decided that an hour was long enough to wait for a 2 minute delay and stepped up to window again. The lady seemed irritated that I was there again but checked and said "oh, it's ready, sorry for the wait." By now I was in the mode that says something about "if you can't say something nice etc,". I arrived home at 7PM some 28 hours after being assured my prescription would be ready. I am too old to be really angry. I am not too old to transfer all of our business away from this store. My advice to others would be the same. They will not miss my business as they apparently got along OK before we moved here and will likely do the same after we leave. My advice to anybody contemplating doing business with Walgreens on Highland Springs is to re-think that decision. Steve Jensen
