Hunger Relief Fundraiser Planned Saturday by King's Table Ministries in Beaumont

The fundraiser is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at 635 Veile Ave. in Beaumont.

A hunger relief fundraiser organized by King's Table Ministries, Inc., of Beaumont, is planned Saturday at 635 Veile Ave., Suite B.

The non-profit helps distribute free food in Beaumont and the San Gorgonio Pass area, according to organizers.

Tax-deductible donations are used to purchase food from the Western Eagle Foundation Food Bank.

A portion of the proceeds will also go to the family of Ricardo "Ricky" Flores, said organizer Yvette Velasquez.

"Iced & Frosted," owned and operated by Yvette and Celena Velasquez, is one of several local businesses that will be participating in the fundraiser. The Velasquezes will be selling specialty cupcakes and raffle tickets.

Vendors including "Scentsy" will sell candles, "SewCute by Didolee" will sell custom-made aprons, and "Miche Bag" will sell handbags, Velasquez said.

There will also be face-painting and arts & crafts for kids, Velasquez said.

The fundraiser is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16.

King's Table Ministries, Inc., of Beaumont, is a registered non-profit, director Galo Galvez said in a phone interview. The federal tax identification number is 26-0361146.
