Hunger Relief Fundraiser Saturday by King's Table Ministries in Beaumont

A hunger relief fundraiser organized by King's Table Ministries, Inc., of Beaumont, is planned Saturday at 635 Veile Ave., Suite B.

King's Table Ministries, Inc., of Beaumont, is a registered non-profit, director Galo Galvez said. The federal tax identification number is 26-0361146.

The non-profit helps distribute free food in Beaumont and the San Gorgonio Pass area, and in other countries, including El Salvador, Galvez said.

Tax-deductible donations are used to purchase food from the Western Eagle Foundation Food Bank for local distribution.

A portion of the proceeds Saturday will also go to the family of Ricardo "Ricky" Flores, said organizer Yvette Velasquez.

"Iced & Frosted," owned and operated by Yvette and Celena Velasquez, is one of several local businesses that will be participating in the fundraiser. The Velasquezes will be selling specialty cupcakes and cake pops.

Vendors including "Scentsy" will sell candles, "SewCute by Didolee" will sell custom-made aprons, and "Miche Bag" will sell handbags, Velasquez said. Several vendors will also have raffles to give out free prizes.

There will also be face-painting and arts & crafts for kids, Velasquez said.

The fundraiser is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16.
