Girl Scouts from Beaumont Help 'Paint El Paseo Pink' Walk for Breast Cancer

The Breast Cancer Awareness event Saturday in Palm Desert benefited the Desert Cancer Foundation. Troop 262 is part of the Girl Scouts San Gorgonio Council.

Girl Scouts from Troop 262 in Beaumont served as crossing guards in the the 5th annual 'Paint El Paseo Pink' walk for Saturday in Palm Desert.

Summer Brown, 11, a student at , and several of her friends from Troop 262 took part in the event,said Summer's mom, Dalia Brown.

The walk through the El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert helped raise money for cancer research and the Desert Cancer Foundation.

Dalia Brown is a co-leader with Troop 262, which is part of the Girl Scouts San Gorgonio Council.
