Crafty Seniors To Sell Handmade Gifts in Beaumont Before Christmas Light Parade
The first annual Beaumont Senior Center Arts & Craft Fair will offer homemade gifts from needlework to jewelry Saturday at the Beaumont Civic Center.
In a day full of Christmas cheer, the Beaumont Senior Center will join the fun by sponsoring its first Arts & Craft Fair.
Vendors will sell their homemade wares from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Beaumont Civic Center, 550 E. 6th St., before the .
About 17 vendors are expected, said center employee Yvonne Blake. Crafts will include crocheted and knitted items, wooden and ceramic gifts and jewelry.

“With everything going on in the evening, we Just wanted to try to tie in a little extra event for the day,” Blake said. “If anybody needs to pick up Christmas gifts, this is the place to be.”
Many of the seniors that frequent the centers work on their crafts during the week. Community services manager Eileen Rodriguez said they often make items to send to the U.S. troops abroad.
