Banning Police Officers Association Plans Clean-Up Day Nov. 2

The Banning Police Officers Association is planning a clean-up day to deal with trash and debris throughout the City of Banning, a city spokesman announced Thursday.

The event is scheduled 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 2 and starts at the Banning Police Department, 125 E. Ramsey St.

"We encourage everyone, residents, businesses, local youth groups, and community organizations to join us in this event," Banning Police Officers Association representative Steve Hobb said. "We plan to pick up trash, collect abandoned shopping carts and other home furnishing that have become an eye sore to the community."

Anyone who wants to participate should meet in the Police Department's north parking lot at 8 a.m. Nov. 2.

The City of Banning plans to provide "all the necessary equipment and facilities to assist in this effort," according to city spokesman Bill Manis.

For more info call Hobb at (951) 922-3170 or Manis at (951) 922-3181.
