Beaumont Looking for Summer Lifeguards at City Pool

The city of Beaumont is currently accepting applications for lifeguards at the city pool.

The job is part-time-- no more than 28 hours a week-- and is "... responsible for performing work in the protection of life and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations in and around a public swimming pool," according to the city.

Lifeguards start Memorial Day weekend, when the summer season officially kicks off.

A city posting for the job indicates that hourly pay ranges from $9.13 to $10.08.

The following qualifications are needed: 
  •  Minimum sixteen (16) years of age
  •  Valid work permit required for high school students
  •  Must possess a current and valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and maintain possession of such certification during the course of employment.  (Must possess before start of work.)
  •  Must possess a current and valid American Red Cross First Aid certification and maintain possession of such certification during the course of employment.  (Must possess before start of work.)
  •  Must possess a current and valid American Red Cross CPR/AED certification and maintain possession of such certification during the course of employment.   (Must possess before start of work.)
