Redlands Native Donovan's Score + Forced Own-Goal Decisive in Road Win

The Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Colorado 2-1 Saturday in Commerce, Colo.

Redlands native Landon Donovan scored what turned out to be the decisive goal Saturday in a 2-1 road victory over Colorado in Major League Soccer.

David Beckham and Mike Magee teamed up to force an own-goal by Colorado in the 21st minute to give Los Angeles a 1-0 lead, and Donovan scored on an assist from Irish captain Robbie Keane to make it 2-0 in the 39th.

Colorado fought back and drew within striking distance on a goal by Omar Cummings of Jamaica in the 63rd minute. They had a chance to tie in the 90th minute when Galaxy defender David Junior Lopes was whistled for a non-exist foul, resulting in an undeserved penalty.
