Beaumont High Grad Earns Scholarship

Quarterback Isaac Sanchez to attend Midland University in Nebraska.

Beaumont High School’s Isaac Sanchez will continue his football career in the fall when he begins his stay at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, officials said.

Sanchez, who suited up for the Cougars in the 2009 season and graduated from BHS in 2010, has earned a scholarship to join a Warriors program that has produced a winning record each of the past three seasons.

Sanchez started for the Cougars in his junior and senior seasons and threw for a total of 2,796 yards and 20 touchdowns. He won 1st-team all-Mountain Pass League honors as a senior.

Sanchez was a backup QB at Mt. San Jacinto Community College last season

Midland finished last season with an 8-3 overall record and was 7-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
