San Gorgonio Middle School Band in Beaumont High Homecoming Parade

A total of 115 boys and girls from grades 6 through 8 are members of the San Gorgonio Middle School Band, according to parent Sarah Lincoln.

San Gorgonio Middle School Hurricane Band was invited to perform in the Beaumont High School Homecoming Parade on Friday Oct. 5 in Beaumont.

A total of 115 boys and girls from grades 6 through 8, representing intermediate and advanced musicians, are members of the SGMS Hurricane Band, parent Sarah Lincoln said.

They started performing about 4 p.m. Friday on Palm Avenue and among their tightest numbers was "Fighting Falcon March" by Todd Stalter, Lincoln said.

There are more than 140 students in the San Gorgonio Middle School band program, Lincoln said.

Beaumont Homecoming was highlighted Friday night with the Cougars defeating West Valley Hemet 45-26 before a crowd that included members of Beaumont's Class of 1962, Christy Hendricks of Banning said.
