San Gorgonio Ballet Seeking Students: Summer Dance Workshop in Banning

The workshop is offered for children and adults, beginners to advanced, and is scheduled July 2 to July 28. The cost is $275 for beginners and $375 for intermediate and advanced level dancers.

The San Gorgonio Ballet of Banning is seeking students for its Summer Dance Workshop beginning July 2, artistic director Julia Olsen-Vitous said Wednesday.

The workshop is offered for children and adults, from levels. Training is scheduled July 2 to July 28, Monday through Friday each week, Olsen-Vitous said.

The cost is $275 for beginners and $375 for intermediate and advanced level dancers. Minimum age for the program is 7 years old.

Training in the workshop will focus on including pointe, pre-pointe, pas de deux, and pirouette, as well as jazz, character dance, modern dance, strength training, stretching, and choreography, Olsen-Vitous said.

Class level placement will be determined by age and ability. The training program includes an end-of-workshop performance.
