Redlands, Yucaipa Grads Help Mt. San Jacinto College Win and Draw in Soccer

Redlands High and Yucaipa High graduates helped Mt. San Jacinto College earn a 3-2 victory and a 1-1 draw last week in women's soccer, according to MSJC athletics.

Redlands grad Kirsten Montgomery scored the game-winning goal in the 91st minute on the road Friday Oct. 26 against Victor Valley College, and she set up another in a 1-1 draw Tuesday Oct. 23 against Rio Hondo College in Menifee, women's soccer head coach Chauncey Hayes said.

Montgomery was assisted on the game-winner Friday by Redlands High grad Kriston Hilkey, Hayes said.

Yucaipa High grad Lizeth Mendez scored the first goal of the game against Victor Valley, unassisted, from 25 yards out in the 23rd minute, Hayes said.

In the draw against Rio Hondo, Montgomery assisted on a goal by Paloma Valley High grad Yuvitza Garcia, Hayes said.
