PHOTOS: Beaumont High Cheer Squad Wins Big at Nationals

The team came in 6th out of 23 competing teams in their category.

The following was submitted for publication by Beaumont High School Athletic Director Martin DuSold:

The Beaumont HS competition cheer squad competed at the USA Spirit Nationals last weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Competing in the super varsity division at the intermediate level, which is for squads with 21-36 members, Beaumont placed 6th in the 23-team field.

Under head coach Kristy Lane, the team moved up to the intermediate division this year, focusing on the addition of higher level choreography, stunting and tumbling. To qualify for the USA Spirit Nationals, Beaumont won competitions at Yorba Linda HS and Brea Olinda HS earlier this year.

The BHS team is comprised of the following members: Klarissa Anderson, Tori Apmaduc, Ciera Cove, Angel Cruz, Kaela Dopf, Melody Embry, Bailey Gandy, Taylor Hubbs, Breanna Hull, Karen Jara, Jennaya Jennings, Peggy Johnson, Kayla Marcus, Ashlee Martin, Suzanna Morrow, Casmir Joy Olaivar, Destanee Prior, Alicia Rodriguez, Kelly Smith, Aaliyah Soto, Allison Stafford, Chassidy Stanton, Chanila Thurmond and Ashley Wilkin.
