The Friends of the Banning Library will be giving away a $500 scholarship to a Banning High senior, and they're currently looking for applicants.
Students can pick up more information and an application for the scholarship at the Banning High School counseling office, according to Robert Lippman of the Banning Library District.
Lippman says requirements include: a transcript, resume or portfolio, three letters of recommendation, letter of acceptance to a college or university, a one-page essay, and the student has to be a patron of the library.
The deadline to apply is March 31.
