Free Family Event at MSJC This Weekend Focuses on Early Literacy

Everyone is invited to this free event, which will feature things like a petting zoo and bounce houses for kids.

A day of family fun and access to important parenting information will be available at the annual Week of the Young Child event next Saturday at Mt. San Jacinto College.

The Child Development and Education Department at MSJC is hosting a child literacy fair at the main campus, located at 1499 N. State St. in San Jacinto, on May 12.

The event focuses on early literacy and features fun activities for youngsters, such as a petting zoo, a face-painting station, bounce houses, storytelling, giveaways, free raffles, live music, and karate and dance demonstrations.

Community resources will also be available, including involvement with fire and police crews, as well as prevention services such as vision and dental screenings, and fingerprinting for child safety.
