According to a press release from Beaumont Unified School District, the teacher-- whose identity is being withheld at this time-- was placed on administrative leave after school administrators were informed of "allegations of misconduct" on Monday.
"The Beaumont USD is cooperating with the Beaumont Police Department with this ongoing investigation, and as a result, must limit our comments," the release states. "Additionally, federal and state privacy laws prevent the District from commenting on this matter beyond this statement."
The statement continues:
"Please be assured that our students’ safety and well being are our first
priority and that the Beaumont USD will undertake all measures necessary to
ensure student safety. "
Beaumont police said there was no additional information they could release at this time.
