Beaumont High Teacher Suspended After Allegations of Misconduct Surface

"...Beaumont Unified School District administrators were informed of allegations of misconduct of a District teacher at Beaumont High School," a statement from BUSD states.

A Beaumont High School teacher has been suspended from their duties with the school district, which is conducting an investigation with help from the local police department, officials said Tuesday.

According to a press release from Beaumont Unified School District, the teacher-- whose identity is being withheld at this time-- was placed on administrative leave after school administrators were informed of "allegations of misconduct" on Monday.

"The Beaumont USD is cooperating with the Beaumont Police Department with this ongoing investigation, and as a result, must limit our comments," the release states.  "Additionally, federal and state privacy laws prevent the District from commenting on this matter beyond this statement."

The statement continues:

"Please be assured that our students’ safety and well being are our first priority and that the Beaumont USD will undertake all measures necessary to ensure student safety. "

Beaumont police said there was no additional information they could release at this time.

Banning-Beaumont Patch will update this breaking news story as soon as more details become available.

I have to agree with lisagaff on this one. Don't judge any teacher. Lots of gossip in the high schools and students that want to get even because they are failing. This could be true but the courts will decide that. The district says allegations and that is all it is right now. If facts prove otherwise I am sure you will be informed.

So turns out I heard about this from my kid who's teacher went MIA on Tuesday. Nothing from the school. I do believe being a parent who's child is in the teacher in questions class that I should have been informed of some details. I mean don't I have a right to know who has been around my kid and what they have been accused of?

I am a student of this teacher and I have never had any trouble with him. I have only heard rumors but I feel as if they are only rumors. He's a great teacher and with these substitutes it is really confusing and messy. I need my teacher back so I don't loose any material that I need.

Look this teacher is an awesome teacher i know for a fact that it was a pranking competition between the two, and yes the teacher took it too far by throwing the backpack out the window but if the kid could dish it and couldn't recieve it he shouldn't be complaining there was no damage of personal poperty, no one was harmed the only thing damaged was someone's pride and now a teacher's out of work.
