Beaumont High Teacher Suspended After Allegations of Misconduct Surface

"...Beaumont Unified School District administrators were informed of allegations of misconduct of a District teacher at Beaumont High School," a statement from BUSD states.

A Beaumont High School teacher has been suspended from their duties with the school district, which is conducting an investigation with help from the local police department, officials said Tuesday.

According to a press release from Beaumont Unified School District, the teacher-- whose identity is being withheld at this time-- was placed on administrative leave after school administrators were informed of "allegations of misconduct" on Monday.

"The Beaumont USD is cooperating with the Beaumont Police Department with this ongoing investigation, and as a result, must limit our comments," the release states.  "Additionally, federal and state privacy laws prevent the District from commenting on this matter beyond this statement."

Beaumont police said there was no additional information they could release at this time.
