Beaumont High-MSJC Dual Enrollment Students Work on Centennial Mural

Several juniors and seniors from Beaumont High School are painting the mural on the south side of the Music Lab on Beaumont Avenue.

Students in a Beaumont High dual-enrollment program at Mt. San Jacinto College are painting a mural of the Beaumont city seal on the Music Lab building in downtown Beaumont.

The centennial mural is part of a community service project for the dual enrollment course, student Magenta Wardle said.

"We hope to finish in the next few days, and we have to write a thousand words about it," Wardle said.

The students are filming the project and hope to compose a time-lapse video that will show the mural unfold at high speed, Wardle said.

The city of Beaumont incorporated in November 1912.

is just north of at East 6th and Beaumont Avenue.
