Our Candidates Should be Well Tested

We can learn a lot about our Presidential candidates through the debates and how they face adversity there.

It is important that we conservatives properly vet our own candidates for President, and other offices as well, as best we can so that we can send the most able of our candidates into the conflict of partisan politics prepared for the long, hard ride that awaits.

If a Perry, for example, can't stand up to the heat given him, as the front-runner, by the other candidates, he surely won't be able to stand up to the billion dollar Obama machine that will try to destroy any Republican in time for 2012 election.

We need to see how Perry, Romney, Bachmann (those three in particular from whose numbers will most likely come the nominee) respond to a less than stellar debate, a mostly hostile (to conservatives) media and just the day-to-day headlines.

How they handle the negative stuff will teach us a lot about how they will handle the job as President.

Yes, I want my eventual candidate "grilled" and ready for serving America as its next President starting in January, 2013.

It is vital, however, that we choose someone as our standard-bearer who does have true conservative values (we have choices here) and even if our guy or gal doesn't get the top nod, we need to get behind the one who does and convert the Washington DCs, Sacramentos, Albanys and Madisons of our nation into places filled with those who have earned and deserve our respect, not our scorn.

We can do this.
