VIDEO ADDED: San Gorgonio Inn Demolition, Day Two

Contractors continue tearing apart one of the oldest former businesses in the San Gorgonio Pass on Tuesday.

Demolition of the aged San Gorgonio Inn continued Tuesday morning on East Ramsey Street in Banning.

A black-and-yellow, diesel-driven Caterpillar excavator with a two-section boom and steel jaws tore down the last part of the old Mayfair Room section on the west side of the building just before 10 a.m.

The man at the controls of the growling machine methodically picked apart the last walls and roof sections, then went to work on the second story.
