Riverside County Votes: Banning, Beaumont Election Results 2012

It's finally here. Election Day 2012. Banning-Beaumont Patch wants to keep you up-to-speed on all the results as they come in, so be sure to bookmark this "election central" article for all the latest.

After months of hearing campaign ads and seeing posters around town supporting this cause or that proposition, Tuesday is the day that will decide it all.

Of course, the biggest election this year is the presidential election-- but there are also several other races that are closer to home for the voters of Banning, Beaumont and the San Gorgonio Pass.

Polls open at 7 a.m., and close at 8 p.m.  If you have a vote-by-mail ballot still in your possession, make sure to drop it off at one of these polling places, or bring it to the registrar's office, 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside.

As of Monday evening, the registrar's office said 548,619 Vote by Mail ballots had been issued-- and 254,267 ballots have been returned.  If you already mailed in your ballot, you can check its status here.

With more than alone, the registrar will be busy Tuesday night, though workers have been scanning mailed votes for the last several days so those can be counted in the first wave of results that's released, right at 8 p.m. when polls close.
