Nov. 5 Election: Registrar Encourages Early Voting

Early voting for the Nov. 5 election is now available at the Registrar of Voters office in Riverside, and it will be available Saturday at Palm Springs Public Library, registrar's staff announced Thursday.

At Palm Springs Public Library, early voting is scheduled 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Learning Center at 300 S. Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. Early voting will be available during the same hours Saturday Oct. 26 and Saturday Nov. 2 at the registrar's office, 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside.

On weekdays, including Thursday Oct. 24 and Friday Oct. 25, early voting will also available at the registrar's office, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

On Election Day, the registrar's office will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 5.

"Registered voters may attend any of the early voting sites and either drop off a vote-by-mail ballot or vote on an electronic voting unit," registrar's staff said in an announcement. "Early voting provides access to voters unable to make it to the polls on Election Day and those who would like their vote to be among the first counted and reported on Election Night.

"Voters are encouraged to cast their ballot as soon as possible so that it can be included in the first Election Night results posted shortly after 8 p.m."

Eligible voters in the Pass will elect two members to the Banning Unified School District board and three members to the Cabazon Water District board.

The registrar's office is at 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside. For more info visit RegisterToVote.ca.gov or call (951) 486-7200.
