Mayors of Beaumont, Kabul Dine in Redlands
A private dinner for Brian De Forge and Muhammad Yunus Nawandish on Tuesday resulted from an email City Manager Alan Kapanicas received from a friend in Kabul, according to a city announcement.
Beaumont Mayor Brian De Forge dined with the mayor of Kabul, Afghanistan, on Tuesday in Redlands, according to a city announcement.
The private meeting between De Forge and Mayor Muhammad Yunus Nawandish of Kabul resulted from an email City Manager Alan Kapanicas received from a friend in Afghanistan, the announcement said.
Nawandish spoke last weekend at the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Baltimore, Md.
