Knight to Take Seat on Beaumont City Council As Gall Finishes Term

Councilwoman-elect Brenda Knight will be sworn into her new role at Tuesday's council meeting.

Tuesday's Beaumont City Council meeting will mark the changing of the guard for the group, as Councilwoman-elect Brenda Knight gets sworn in, and Councilwoman Nancy Gall finishes her term.

According to the city council agenda, Knight will be sworn into office at the beginning of the meeting, immediately following role call of the current council, which includes Nancy Gall.

After the brief ceremony, in which Councilman Jeff Fox will also be sworn into office for his fourth term, Knight will take her seat on the dais.

Knight and Fox were each elected in the Nov. 6 election, each taking home more votes than Councilwoman Gall.

When the results were in, Gall told Banning-Beaumont Patch that though she's disappointed in the outcome, she wished Brenda Knight well on the council.

Tuesday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Beaumont Civic Center, 550 East Sixth Street.
