It's Official: Registrar Certifies Measure D Win

The Riverside County Registrar certified the May 1 election just a day later.

The Riverside County Registrar announced Wednesday night that the May 1 election has been certified.

That , an annual parcel tax of $49 that will provide funds of approximately $18 million over the next 10 years for 's emergency room.

A total of 11,902 ballots were turned in of the 33,312 issued.

8,656, or 72.73% of the votes were a "yes" to passing the measure, with the remaining 3,246 against it.

Should anyone like to request a recount in this election, that deadline is Monday, May 7.

"By law, a request for a recount must be filed with the Registrar of Voters office within five days after election results are certified," Registrar Kari Verjil said in a press release. "The cost of a recount is paid for by the requestor."
