Irvine Team Riders Train for Upcoming Redlands Classic Beaumont Stage

The team rode the Beaumont stage route that includes Avenida Altura Bella and Bogart Park on Wednesday, a team official said outside Beaumont Civic Center on East 6th Street.

Update 9 p.m. The CashCall Mortgage Cycling Team includes Brian McCulloch of Yucaipa, who works for Harbor Companies, a team spokeswoman said Wednesday evening.

The team will be racing in different locations across the U.S. in the next two months, and will be back for the Redlands Bicycle Classic in March, she said.

Posted 6:30 p.m. A team of riders from Irvine trained Wednesday on the Redlands Bicycle Classic Beaumont Stage route in preparation for the upcoming road race competition in March.

Riders in blue, red and white team gear, sponsored by Cash Call Mortgage, rode the Beaumont stage route that includes and Bogart Park on Wednesday, a team official said outside Beaumont Civic Center on East 6th Street.

The Beaumont circuit covered 24.1 miles in San Timoteo Canyon, Cherry Valley and Beaumont. An official with the Irvine team Wednesday said the Beaumont stage route remains unchanged.

In the last year, the men rode 5 circuits to total 120 miles, and the women rode 3 circuits to total 72 miles, a Redlands Classic race official said.

The 28th Redlands Bicycle Classic is scheduled March 22 to March 25. A pdf map of the Beaumont circuit is attached to this report.
