LOCAL SOLDIERS GET A SPECIAL WELCOME


BEAUMONT-CA- On Sunday, October 23, 2011, Beaumont School Board Member Mark Orozco will be sponsoring a Welcome Home Luncheon for returning combat soldiers USMC David (Scooter) Ortega, Andrew Smith, and Army soldier Alfredo Mendoza Jr.

The event will take place at 1 pm at Pizza N Pasta Lovers, located at 1667 E Sixth St. Beaumont, Ca. 92223. Located in the Food 4 Less shopping center. Pizza and soda will be served for free.

The soldiers recently returned to the Banning-Beaumont area after serving in Afghanistan. Mendoza returns to Afghanistan next week to complete his tour of duty.

Beaumont School Board Member Orozco, explains, “I am proud to host this welcoming home party to our local soldiers who bravely fought for our Country.  With all my heart, I say to them WELCOME HOME!”

“Gold Star Dad, Michael Dahl Sr., father of fallen soldier Michael Dahl Jr. Army Specialist, will join me to welcome home our local boys”, said Orozco.
