HOPE

With unemployment over 20 percent in both Banning and Beaumont, and an appalling 36 percent in nearby Cabazon, a "traveling workforce caravan" is just what the Pass Area needed.  The HOPE caravan has Internet access for job applications, listings and to email prospective employers.  One-on-one job, resume and interview coaching is available, as are typing and resume tutorials.  This joint pilot project of the county and the Mid-County Economic Development Agency parks its caravan in front of the welfare office on 4th Street.
