The Banning City Council will elect a new mayor at the end of Mayor Bob Botts' term (he has been re-elected as a councilman, however), so anticipation is rampant. In the meantime, audience participation at city council meetings can be spirited, and meetings are broadcast on local cable t.v. and Fios.
