ELECTION UPDATE: Monday is Last Day to Register for Nov. Voting

Riverside County residents must get their voter registration forms submitted by Oct. 22 to be eligible to vote on November 6.

If you'd like to have a voice in this November's general election, you'll have to be registered to vote by Monday.

Riverside County Registrar of Voters Kari Verjil sent out an announcement Tuesday reminding area residents that the deadline to register is this Monday, Oct. 22.

"Applications submitted online at RegisterToVote.ca.gov prior to midnight Monday will be honored, as will paper forms postmarked by the deadline," she said.

Also, the registrar's office will stay open until midnight that day to accept last minute voter registration forms.

"Because the forms contain personal information, and to help ensure they are received on time, the Registrar of Voters encourages voters to personally deliver or mail completed forms to the registrar’s office, while keeping the deadline in mind," Tuesday's announcement stated.
