Congressman to Host Covered California Info Session in Hemet at 6 p.m.

The congressman for the Pass plans to host a Covered California info session in Hemet at 6 p.m. Monday, according to his staff.

Dr. Raul Ruiz, D-Palm Desert, will appear with certified enrollment counselors to assist people interested in finding affordable health insurance for them and their families, Ruiz spokesman Michael Ford said.

"We will have Certified Enrollment Counselors from the Borrego Community Health Foundation," Ford said. "They will be providing eligibility screenings for Covered California. They will also be assisting individuals ready to enroll, and will be taking appointments to assist families and individuals enroll at a later time."

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend, Ford said.

The event is scheduled at 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church, 780 South State St.
