Caltrans Work Tonight on WB 10 in Pass from Highway 111 to East Banning

The project, for pavement grooving and 'random slab repair,' is scheduled 8 p.m. Thursday March 22 to 5 a.m. Friday March 23. The project was announced Thursday afternoon.

Alternating lane closures and ramp closures are planned on westbound Interstate 10 between east Banning and Highway 111 from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, Caltrans announced Thursday afternoon.

The closures are necessary to "groove existing pavement" and for "random slab repair" between Hargrave Street and the 111 on the westbound 10, a Caltrans spokeswoman said.

"Off and on ramps will be closed, but not consecutively," Caltrans District 8 spokeswoman Michelle Profant said in a statement. "Length of lane closure in each direction will not be more than 3-kilometer at a time."
