Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (R-Palm Springs) has picked up another local endorsement: The Inland Empire Taxpayers Association, for her strong support for protecting taxpayers and small businesses from runaway federal spending. The announcement was made via the groups website.
"Based on her relentless advocacy in Congress for fiscally responsible policies, we are pleased to endorse Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack, said Chris Mann, founder and president of the IETA. “Congresswoman Bono Mack gets it. She understands that growth and innovation come from the entrepreneur, from small businesses - not from government.”
“As a former small business owner, she knows how tax hikes hurt job creation and infringe on individual liberty,” Mann said. “She has worked hard on our behalf and she deserves our support.”
Bono Mack is running in the redrawn 36th Congressional District.
Founded in 2006, The Inland Empire Taxpayers Association is a organization covering Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
"I am thrilled to have the endorsement of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association. They have been an important voice for keeping taxes low and keeping government off the backs of small businesses and individuals," Bono Mack said. "Our country cannot afford to keep going down the path of more taxing, more spending, more borrowing and more government. I will continue to fight in Congress on behalf of policies that will create more freedom and prosperity."

And as far as her name...get over it. Bono-Mack is her legal name. The name "Bono" has nothing to do with her getting re-elected; many voters today have no idea who Sonny Bono (or Sonny & Cher) even was.
She should run for office in that state.
