Beaumont Seeking Property Abatement Contractors

The following is a news release from the City of Beaumont: 


The City of Beaumont is seeking licensed, bonded and insured property abatement contractors who would like to be added to a bidders list for future abatement services within the City.  

The scope of work may include, but not limited to, the following:  
  • Emergency on-call window/door board ups and securing
  • Residential furniture, appliances, and rubbish removal and hauling
  • Yard refuse and debris removal and hauling (branches, logs, bricks, concrete, etc.)
  • Residential demolition cleanup and hauling
  • Green pool abatement  
Interested contractors must have a valid City of Beaumont business license and proof of being bonded and insured. To be added to the bidders list, contractors should sign up in “Notify Me” section in the Beaumont Insiders tab of our website www.BeaumontCares.com

the city's getting more debt to build new houses at one end and boarding up abandoned houses at the other end.... that's what happens when the government supplements the private sector....

What about all the city paid employees in the fancy new trucks that hide all over town doing nothing most the day....This is work they could be doing

send council out to board up windows and cut weeds .......... they aren't doing their jobs and two of them claim to have contracting companies .... maybe if they had to cut weeds on all the abandoned properties they wouldn't be so quick to create more ....
