Beaumont's 15th Annual Christmas Light Parade is Set for 6p Saturday

Event starts on Palm Avenue at 12th Street and ends at the Beaumont Civic Center.

Participants, volunteers and city officials are excited about Beaumont's 15th Annual Christmas Light Parade on Saturday evening.

Entrants in this year's parade include themed floats, people in costumes, and at least two golf carts, a new category for this year, according to city spokeswoman Ashley Starr.

Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high in the low 60s, and temps could drop to around 40 after sundown, according to the National Weather Service. Wet, wintry weather may return starting late Sunday but should not impact the parade, according to the Weather Service.

The parade is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Saturday Dec. 10 at 12th Street and Palm Avenue, and head to the .

There will be more warmth and fun on tap at the Civic Center, where cookies, cocoa and coffee will be served to everyone after the parade, organizers said.
