Beaumont Basin Watermaster Members Meet 10 a.m. Wednesday in Beaumont

The meeting is scheduled 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District headquarters, 560 Magnolia Ave., Beaumont.

A meeting of Beaumont Basin Watermaster members is scheduled Wednesday morning in Beaumont.

Watermaster members are the cities of Banning and Beaumont, the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District, the South Mesa Water Company of Calimesa, and the Yucaipa Valley Water District.

Items on the agenda Wednesday include an unaudited financial report dated June 30, 2011, presentation of a draft budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012, and a status report on the watermaster's annual reports for Fiscal Years 2009/10 and 2010/11.

Also on the agenda is review of a draft basin accounting agreement between the Beaumont Basin Watermaster and the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency.

Annual reporting services and legal services are on the agenda as well.

The Beaumont Basin Watermaster was formed on Feb. 4, 2004, from negotiations between several parties with interests in the Beaumont Groundwater Basin, according to the watermaster's web site.

A judgment entered in the Superior Court of the State of California, Riverside County, provides the Watermaster with authority and responsibility to administer adjudicated water rights within the Beaumont Groundwater Basin.
