Barney Frank Lends Name to Ruiz' Fundraising Effort
Email goes at Supreme Court decision allowing corporate donations in campaigns
An email from the Raul Ruiz (D-Coachella) congressional campaign is re-sending comments from Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) in an effort to rally fund-raising money.
Referring to a U.S. Supreme Court decision late month that affirms that corporations and unions can contribute to political campaigns, the email says in part:
"The Tea Party extremists have essentially taken over the Republican Party, and the right wing majority on the Supreme Court has guaranteed that these extremists will have virtually unlimited fat cat money being spent on their behalf."
