Youngster Accused of Punching Two Boys, Stealing Scooters in San Jacinto

The sheriff's department is looking for a 12 or 13-year-old accused in the attack.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is looking for a boy– who is just 12-13 years old– accused of assaulting two others and threatening to stab them before making off with their scooters.

According to sheriff's Sergeant Rose McKinney, the incident happened around 8 p.m. in the area of Brinton Street, near State Street and N. Ramona Blvd.

"The investigation revealed that a black male juvenile approached two male juveniles who were riding scooters," she said.  "The suspect punched one of the victims in the face and threatened to stab them."

At that point, the two boys were able to run away, but had to leave their scooters behind with the attacker, which were subsequently stolen, according to McKinney.

The suspected thief was described as being 12-13 years old, with a thin build.  He's about 4'6", has black hair and brown eyes, the sergeant said.
