Woman Killed in San Jacinto, Man Arrested on Suspicion of Homicide

A woman was fatally shot Thursday night in San Jacinto and a man was arrested on suspicion of homicide, a sheriff's sergeant said Friday.

Deputies responded after 11:25 p.m. Jan. 16 to a reported shooting in the 1000 block of Falcon Court, Sgt. Jim Erickson of the sheriff's San Jacinto station said in a statement.

"Upon arrival they found Kristal Fesher, a 20-year-old female from San Jacinto suffering from a gunshot wound," Erickson said. "Fesher was transported to a local area hospital but succumbed to the injury and died shortly after arrival."

Jonathan Michael Delgado, 23, of San Jacinto, was detained and arrested on suspicion of killing Fesher, and he was held Friday at Smith Correctional in Banning, according to Erickson and inmate records.
