Woman Found Unconscious with Serious Injuries in Cabazon

She was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she was listed in serious condition, a sheriff's sergeant said.

Deputies in Cabazon investigated a possible felony assault Monday in Cabazon.

A woman was found unconscious with serious injuries about 7:20 a.m. Monday in the 14000 block of Citrus Avenue, sheriff's Sgt. Sean Bahash said.

Deputies and CalFire personnel rendered aid to the woman, and she was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. She was listed in serious condition, Bahash said.

Investigators believed the woman was transient and homeless. They identified her but withheld her name.
