A woman was found dead with unspecified traumatic injuries Monday evening in a residence in Cabazon, no arrests had been made, and homicide detectives were seeking more info, a sheriff's sergeant said Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Jennifer Horton, 34, of Cabazon, Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero of the sheriff's Central Homicide Unit said in a statement.

Deputies responded at 5:49 p.m. Jan. 27 to a report of a body at a residence in the 14200 block of Broadway, Buompensiero said.

"Upon arrival deputies located a deceased white female adult inside the residence," Buompensiero said. "It appeared the female victim had suffered traumatic injuries that caused her death."

Detectives from the Cabazon Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded, Buompensiero said.

"No arrests have been made in this case," Buompensiero said. "This case is ongoing."

Anyone with more info was urged to call Investigator Moody with the Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3500.

Fascinating, no one comments, but the story has 14 recommends to it, a story about a woman being killed mysteriously. Makes me wonder.

Fascinating how no one has looked at her facebook and discovered her home was broken into just 22 December (approx) and she knew who did it, and noone has tried to even connect the 2 incidents... My prayers to Jennifer's Mom, other family members, and friends! I truly hope they find who did this!
