Woman Arrested for Assault With a Deadly Flower Pot

The sheriff's department says a woman attacked a man with a flowerpot in San Jacinto, and she's now facing assault with a deadly weapons charges.

A woman was facing felony assault charges after allegedly throwing a flowerpot at a man in San Jacinto this week.

Riverside County Sheriff's Sergeant Craig McDonald says the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 600 block of North Ramona Boulevard, near Ramona Blvd. and State Street.

A woman, identified as 35-year-old Joy Reynolds, had gotten into a fight with a man at the location, reports indicated.

"During the argument, Reynolds threw a flowerpot at the victim causing non-life-threatening injuries," McDonald said.

It's not clear if the 57-year-old man was the woman's husband or boyfriend, as Reynolds was also booked on domestic violence charges, according to jail records.  Those records also indicated the woman was being held at the Banning jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
